Professional and classically trained with an eye for details, Ben Lugo sometimes described as a great actor has played diverse roles from 'Tai Etim' in the international hit series 'Desperate Housewives Africa' (a Walt Disney, ABC Studios and Ebony life TV Production), to the notorious Prince Chuks in 'Mad Man I Love' alongside Majid Micheal. He has starred in several television series which aired on AIT, Channels TV, Ebony life TV and Mnet. And he has also starred in more than ten feature films mostly playing lead and supporting roles. Though his debut movie came out in 2013, he has quickly risen and has been called 'fastest rising actor', being nominated for Fastest Rising Actor by several awards (City People, NAFCA, Lagos Fashion Awards).

He has worked alongside A-List and veteran actors with top production companies. To prove his determination and commitment to only giving his best performance he made it a point to study the business of film making and all the components, from Directing to Public Relations. His goal is to make working with Directors as easy as possible; he can interpret scripts and scenes through the eyes of a Director.

Along the way, he has proven that acting isn't just a job but a serious business. His strongest features/roles are: the over confident and annoying 'Lawrence' who is Monalisa Chinda's love interest in 'Lagos Cougars', the notorious 'Prince Chuks' who sought to kill a mad man played by Majid Micheal in 'Mad Man I Love', the rich and humorous lover boy 'Daniel' who tries to win a pretentious house girl played by Mary Lazarus in 'Desperate House Girls', the supportive and charming boyfriend 'Chris' who against all odds avenges the rape of his girlfriend played by Makida Moka in 'Code of Silence', the naive yet bold personal trainer 'Tai Etim' who has a secret affair with his young madam played by Kehinde Bankole in 'Desperate Housewives Africa series', the suave, smooth and dangerous 'Seal' who impersonates another person so as to win a lady's heart in 'Oasis Series',  and the rich, yet humble and mysterious 'Aaron' who tries to rekindle an old flame in 'Casino series'.

Ben Lugo trained on and off set as an actor to master his craft and doesn't stop. Ben took online classes with Stellar Adler Studio. Stellar added a colourful side to the Stanislavski System of Method Acting which involved actors instincts and researching deeply into the life of their roles/characters. And this is what Ben Lugo is all about: Thorough Research to give his roles real life and instincts, from mannerisms to pattern of speech. Also along the way Ben has personally learnt from great actors (most of whom he has worked with) such as Majid Micheal, Kehinde Bankole, Nini Wacera (Top Kenyan Actress), Olu Jacobs, O.C. Ukeje, Desmond Elliot, Nnamdi Oboli, Clarion Chukwuka, Femi Branch, Seun Akindele, Femi Jacobs, Zack Orji, and Joseph Benjamin. Ben Lugo is committed to being the best and learning every chance he gets to master his craft is always a goal.  Ben stays busy, his recent works include a masterpiece of a movie directed by The Oracle (Okey Oku), Ben is 'Tommy', a mischievous rich bachelor who is bent on competing with his brother in women and lifestyle played by Bucci Franklin in 'Tommy and Kenny', a captivating and hilarious romcom 'Weather for 2', a Zeb Ejiro film about the problems of bad sex in marriage in 'Window Shopping' -all lead roles- and 'Desperate House Girls the Series'. Ben keeps changing his looks and avoids being type casted.

Ben loves to read and research,  this includes history, science, novels, esoteric and self help books. He is gifted in the art of mimicking voices, characters and accents (British, Southern American, Igbo, Yoruba, Indian etc). He is very handy. He can draw, sing, swim, dance, drive. A savvy poet and public speaker. He speaks English, Igbo, smithers of Hebrew, French, Twi. He picked up piano and guitar learning but didn't finish classes. He loves to travel, to learn new things and about new cultures. He loves animals, nature and beautiful sceneries that spark creativity and most of all, he LOVES food.  Ben is dedicated and he would go the full length to get things right so as to play any role perfectly.
